The husband / wife truckin' team of "By & Bye" give this one double duty!
The use of colored tape to mark your "spots" is demonstrated here by this CEO, who bravely let us drill holes in his brand new truck. You can also see that his tonue cover is compatible with the installation.
This enterprising Mississippi installer used a copper strap beneath his customized mount for additional grounding capacity on his beautiful show truck. He tells us he has painted the plexiglas weather cover to match the truck since sending these pics. Now that's customization!
A complement to the vintage Jeep is the tidiness of this adapted mirror mount installation, with the use of wireloom cover and wire ties. It speaks highly of this new Florida owner's professional background in the field of quality control.
"Big Ed" in Georgia didn't think he could work all that DX mobile until he got his Yankee, but he just got back from a lo-o-ong trip, and he got glowing reports no matter where he worked it!
Here we show you a couple close-ups to demonstrate that "inventiveness" is encouraged in your Yankee installation. Glen says, "As for the fold-over -- got it at an electronics store; it is designed for the purpose & sold at many CB stores. (Could not find it at Radio Shack, however.) The weather proofing is item 278-1645 at Radio Shack and is called 'Sealing Tape.' Amazing, isn't it? I went in asking for coaxial sealer & they knew immediately what I wanted."
Another one of Tom's shop installations for a happy Sioux City Yankee owner.
Ed demonstrates the addition of a toroid to block the transmission of RF from the interior of the vehicle, while still maintaining a very neat & tidy installation.

It looks like he can talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime, any mode, with this setup, doesn't it?
Mike really gets his Yankee up in the air with his "headache rack" mount! He just upgraded to one of the powder-coated white models to match the brand new work truck.
Here are the "Mutt & Jeff" sizes of truck installations. Both are the 10-180 models. Ralph has his right "up front," and Tom installed his into the stakehole with a rubber mount he customized.

Dale in Ohio says, "Man, Tom, this thing is working great. I went to Dayton this weekend & talked to California, and EVERYWHERE I wanted to talk. If I could hear um -- I could work um!"
See how unobtrusive our new powder-coated 2" white model is in this truck application. Tennessee traveler Curtis writes, "... using a 4 ft. fiberglass whip, mounted w/ new type mirror mount, designed for trucks w/ large mirror pipes ... love this antenna! ... getting 5/9 sig. rpts de all over! ... running a barefooted Yaesu FT100 in the truck ... antenna tunes fast and smooth!"
SEND US YOUR PICS TO REPLACE THESE "X's and WE CAN MAKE YOUR YANKEE INSTALLATION FAMOUS TOO!
